Chrono Trigger Time Travels to PSN this Tuesday

OK. We know you’re skeptical, we’ve posted this before and no Chrono Trigger showed up. It wasn’t our fault, I swear! Although Sony slipped up with the release date for Chrono Trigger on the PSN before, this time it’s official.

A new post on the PlayStation Blog has revealed that the SNES classic RPG, Chrono Trigger, will be releasing on the PlayStation Store on Tuesday, October 4th. It’s really coming this time, so mark your calenders (we’re adding it to our PlayStation Store Preview as well).

For those of you who don’t know about Chrono Trigger, it’s often considered one of the greatest RPGs of all-time, or at least for its era – back when Square Enix was Squaresoft, and they made RPG smash-hit after hit. Chrono Trigger, was one of those hits.

In related news, Square Enix Product Manager Charles McCarter, when asked about the spiritual successor to Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross, said:

Well, you might not have to wait that much longer…

We’ll keep you posted if there’s any word for a Chrono Cross release. For now, do yourself a favor and pick up Chrono Trigger, you won’t regret it.
