The battle against used games sales rages on as the latest entry in EA Sports’ popular snowboarding franchise has unsurprisingly been confirmed to feature an online pass.
In a video posted by Giant Bomb detailing SSX, you can see the option to “Get Online Pass” in the menu. For your convenience, we’ve included a picture below of the menu so that you don’t have to go fishing through the video to find it yourself.
There is no word yet on exactly what will be tied to the online pass, but chances are some – if not all – of the game’s online content will be locked for those who purchase the game used.
Online passes are growing in popularity among game publishers, especially Electronic Arts. In addition to the SSX announcement, you may recall that just a few days ago word broke that Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning will also feature an online pass that is tied to a whopping seven quests.
