Konami Releases Cryptic New Teaser Trailer For Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

Konami has released a mysterious new teaser trailer for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

The live action teaser trailer shows a young man in military fatigues being tortured by a doctor/scientist and a soldier. The beginning of the trailer shows what would appear to be a visual user interface system, like the kind Raiden might see from within his cyborg ninja suit. The trailer also makes two different concrete references to Raiden: one being a screen that says “Subject, Mid-20s, R A _ D E _” and then a file folder which has the word “Raiden” handwritten on it.

The man is being subjected to some kind of brainwashing or subliminal messaging attempt as well, with words “HATE,” “DEATH,” and “DESTROY” — in addition to foreign language translations of those words — shown as being displayed on a screen in front of him.

The trailer begins closing with a message that says “Make It Right,” with a date of April 30th, 2012 underneath that, followed by the URL metalgearsolid.com/rising. The screen with that information is followed by a man saying “You’ll never be the same, Jack” and the visual of an eye closing is shown.

Konami’s YouTube channel also lists the following text under the video:

Corrupted transmission incoming from operative’s implant…

Data integrity compromised…

Recovery initializing on 4/30/12…
