The recently rumored Premium subscription service for Battlefield 3 is believed to help EA combat Activision’s massively popular Call of Duty Elite service, and according to a new report, it looks like it will be providing its user base with early access to downloadable content.
Thanks to Battlefield fan site Battlefieldo, it appears that those who are willing to invest in Battlefield Premium will not only receive all of the scheduled expansions, but also gain early access to the game’s DLC. For those of you that aren’t up to speed on what’s coming to Battlefield 3, here’s a list of the expansions you can expect:
- Close Quarters (June 12th)
- Armored Kill (Fall 2012)
- End Game (Winter 2012)
- Unannounced Final Expansion (Expected March 2013)
In addition, exclusive bonus items including new camos are believed to be included with the service. If the rumors surrounding Battlefield Premium are in fact true, there’s a good chance we’ll hear more about it during EA’s press conference at E3.
