The Walking Dead really is taking over the world. The TV show on AMC is getting absolutely mammoth ratings on Sunday nights, The Walking Dead: The Game from Telltale Games is setting the downloadable world on fire (and soon the retail world) with its spectacular storytelling, season two of the game will hit next year, the comics are doing better than ever, and a first person shooter based on the franchise is coming out next year.
Coming from Activision and developer Terminal Reality, The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct will place you in the shoes of Daryl Dixon, who is traveling to Atlanta with his brother Merle. On your path there, you’ll have to scrounge up food, water, and ammo as you battle the undead and cross paths with other survivors.
More info on the game will hopefully be revealed soon, like a gameplay video, but they have announced how you can get yourself into the game. During every new episode of The Walking Dead on AMC until December 2nd, clues will appear that you can enter at www.amcdead.com and one winner will be chosen every week to get their likeness in the game. Your character will then be given a back story and a death scene.
So, if you want to be able to see yourself in a video game and possibly shoot yourself with a crossbow, be sure to watch The Walking Dead!
