Criterion is Working on an “Unannounced Racing Title” for EA, Pegged for 2013 Release

There’s no details about what it might be, what day it’s releasing, or the platforms it’s coming to, but what we can tell you is that Criterion is working on a racing title right now and it is expected to be out in 2013.

This news comes from two LinkedIn profiles of Criterion employees – Pete Panton, Lead Cinematic Artist, and Lee Sullivan, Lead Artist. Pete’s page lists that he is working on an “”Unannounced Racing Title” EA Games 2013,” with Lee showing that he has been working on an “Unannounced project at Criterion Games” since November 2011.

While you may be hoping that this is a new installment into the Burnout franchise, which they said is “certainly not going away,” it’s most likely this year’s Need for Speed game instead. Whatever it ends up being though, you can be sure we’ll let you know what it is as soon as it’s announced.
