After some teasing by Ed Boon, WB has confirmed that Zatanna, “the powerful magician known for casting spells by speaking backwards,” will be the next DLC character for Injustice: Gods Among Us. She’ll be available on August 13th in North America and August 14th in Europe for a price of $4.99/£3.99.

To help clear up any confusion, Ed Boon answered all of the hints he gave out on Twitter, while also giving an interesting fact about Zatanna:
- The Cars clue refers to their song MAGIC
- Clue #2 for Next Injustice DLC character: Upside-down. Refers to The Cars lyrics from MAGIC: “Summer, it turns me UPSIDE DOWN.”
- The Puppet in Funhouse pinball was based on the puppet from the 1978 movie MAGIC.
- Olivia Newton John refers to one of her songs titled: MAGIC
- “I heat up, I can’t cool down!” References the lyrics to a Steve Miller Band song called ABRACADABRA.
- Zatanna was the winner of the “unofficial” DLC poll. Followed closely by Static Shock.
