PS4 Exclusive Deep Down to be Free-to-Play, Japanese Open Beta Announced

Yoshinori Ono has announced that the PlayStation 4 exclusive Deep Down will be free-to-play.

Heath got his hands on the randomized online dungeon crawler at TGS, and his early impressions were positive, so it’s certainly interesting to hear that what looks to be a AAA title being available for free. Capcom has yet to detail how the title will be monetized, but it could range from anything from weapons to enemies to hats.

In addition to this news, Shuhei Yoshida confirmed that there will be an “open Beta near the launch of PS4 in Japan”. Unfortunately, Capcom have yet to decide whether the game will come to the West, so here’s a trailer to make you jealous:
