No mention of a potential PlayStation Vita (or mobile phone) version of Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus was made, but Insomniac did announce that the game will release on November 12th in North America and November 13th in Europe for PlayStation 3 at $29.99/€29.99, with a retail and digital version available.
To give you a little insight about Into the Nexus, Insomniac explained why they decided to make a shorter Ratchet game:
The truth is, we relished this ability to tie a bow on the PS3 era of Ratchet with a shorter title. All of us love the Ratchet universe – and after 12 years developing the series, it feels like a very close friend. We have a lot of stories to tell, some longer, some shorter. This one felt just right. It’s a very polished self-contained return to the Ratchet adventures of yore. It’s impactful, too; filled with planet-hopping, guns blazing, joke-cracking Ratchet & Clank, and events happen here that will change Ratchet forever. Think of it as a small epic.
And here’s a video explaining how Ratchet & Clank games get made:
By pre-ordering the game at participating retailers, you’ll receive Ratchet’s Pyronox Armor, which gives you 5% damage-reduction. Also, by pre-ordering at Amazon.com, you’ll receive a bunch of Ratchet & Clank-themed PlayStation Home content.
Finally, that box art Amazon listed a while back has been confirmed as the final cover:
