For those of you who won’t be downloading the PS4’s System Software Update 1.50 from your computer to a USB stick and then installing it on the PS4’s HDD (or a replacement HDD), and are just wanting to do it through good old Wi-Fi, Shuhei Yoshida has some news for you.
Instead of having to manually look for 1.50, “when you connect your PS4 to Internet, the download starts automatically in the background.” While the download may be automatic, “you are the one to trigger the install.” Once you do fully install 1.50, the PS4 will need to be restarted before everything is complete.
As for future PS4 system updates after 1.50, just “put your PS4 at the standby mode, all downloads are automatic while you are sleeping or away.”
What will you be doing while you wait for 1.50 to download? Let us know in the comments below.
