With VGX just days away on Saturday, December 7th, Geoff Keighley took some time to answer a lot of questions about the upcoming event. Since the topics covered are so varied, we placed the important answers in bullet point form below:
- You’ll be able to watch VGX in a variety of ways (PS3, PC, iOS, etc), but the PS4 isn’t listed as one of them. The reason for this is because “the PS4 live event player won’t be out – we asked!” Geoff did add, “You can probably watch via http://twitch.com on the browser?”
- Geoff is most excited for “some elements we haven’t announced yet.”
- Will we see Wolfenstein: The New Order at VGX? “Nope, don’t think so.”
- If you’re wondering who will host VGX, they “haven’t announced the host yet.” I’m betting on Aisha Tyler. Any takers?
- Geoff said “yes” when asked if Ubisoft would be on board for VGX. This could be a new trailer for Watch Dogs, a trailer for some of the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Season Pass DLC, or maybe something else entirely.
- Rainbow 6: Patriots won’t be at VGX.
- We will see more world premieres at VGX “than ever before.”
- You can also expect some “awesome surprises.”
- Geoff isn’t aware of “any Final Fantasy news at VGX.”
- Tim Schafer of Double Fine “has some news to share at VGX that he’s been saving for a while.”
- “No Persona 5 – we asked.”
- When it comes to whether or not each company knows what the other is announcing at VGX, Geoff said, “No. We have to be careful there. All they know is what you guys do. It’s awesome that everyone supports the show!
