For the fiscal year ending March 31st, 2014, Take-Two has reported a record net revenue of $2.351 billion, an increase of 94% compared to the $1.214 billion in the previous fiscal year.

Obviously the biggest contributor to their huge numbers was Grand Theft Auto V, which has shipped 33 million copies so far, as Take-Two CEO and Chairman Strauss Zelnick explained:

During fiscal 2014, Take-Two set new records for both our Company and the entertainment industry. “Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V reached $1 billion in sales faster than any entertainment release in history, NBA 2K14 enjoyed the franchise’s strongest launch, Borderlands 2 became 2K’s top-selling title, and our digitally-delivered revenue grew to its highest level ever. As a result, we delivered record revenue, earnings and cash flow for our shareholders.

After highlighting that Take-Two was the top console and handheld video game publisher of 2013 in North America and Latin America, and Grand Theft Auto V was the best-selling console video game of 2013 in North America, Latin America and Europe combined, Take-Two revealed updated shipment numbers for some of their biggest titles:

  • Grand Theft Auto V – 33 Million
  • Borderlands 2 – 9 million
  • NBA 2K14 – 6.5 million
  • BioShock Infinite – 6 million
  • Civilization V – 5 million

Take-Two then showed some of their upcoming releases for this fiscal year, all of them coming from 2K:

  • NBA 2K14 (PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC) – October 7th
  • Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel (PS3, Xbox 360, PC) – Fall 2014
  • Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond Earth (PC, Mac, Linux) – Fall 2014
  • Evolve (PS4, Xbox One, PC) – Fall 2014
  • WWE 2K15 (TBA) – TBA

Polygon contacted 2K Sports about WWE 2K15, where the developer confirmed that it will be a PS4/Xbox One title (other potential systems not revealed), with Visual Concepts and Yuke’s “working collaboratively” on the game, and saying, “While we cannot confirm specifics today, WWE 2K15 is traditionally expected to launch in the Fall 2014 timeframe.”

Once we hear more about WWE 2K15, we’ll let you know.
