Assassin’s Creed: Unity is the Beginning of a “New Cycle of Assassin’s Creed Games,” Claims Ubisoft

Assassins Creed Unity Preview 3

Ubisoft’s Creative Director, Alex Amancio, has said Assassin’s Creed: Unity is going to be a fresh start for the Assassin’s Creed franchise, offering a new narrative and a chance for new players to jump in.

In a video posted on Ubisoft’s YouTube channel, he said that Unity will be as good an entry point in the series as the first Assassin’s Creed game was. Additionally, the modern-day aspect of the series will be tackled differently.

It’s a new start, it’s a new narrative start. That is symbolized by a completely new context for the present day. You’ve seen a little bit of an evolution with Black Flag. We’re not going to do the same thing. What we’re doing with Unity is really the beginning [of] this new cycle of Assassin’s Creed games.

I’m not sure if Arno will be as well-received as Altair, but what I do know is that Assassin’s Creed II is one of the best games I’ve ever played. If this game is even close to being as good as Assassin’s Creed II, I’m picking up a copy.

What about you?
