Over on the official PlayStation Blog, Buser answered a few fan questions in the comments section. When asked about PS1/PS2 games, Buser mentioned:
We are currently considering measures to offer original PlayStation, PS2 and PS4 titles in the future, but at this time, only PS3 titles are being offered.
So, yeah. We’ll just have to wait and see if and when PS classics are part of the rotation for PS Now.

While Sony is “diligently” working on a subscription model for PlayStation Now, don’t expect to play any PS1 and PS2 titles on the streaming service anytime soon if recent answers from the company are to be taken at face value.
Speaking to Kotaku, Senior Director for PS Now Jack Buser was asked what has happened to PS1 and PS2 games on the service, which Buser dodged like a ninja.
When asked whether Sony is still planning on hosting PS1 and PS2 games on PS Now, Buser said:
Currently for open-beta on PlayStation 4 we’re going to focus on PlayStation 3 games. This will be integrated into the PlayStation 4 in the US and Canada. In terms of devices that will support PlayStation Now, we’ll then be expanding from PlayStation 4 and applying the open beta on PS3, PS TV, PS Vita. And then the ultimate vision of PlayStation Now is to support a wide variety of devices.
Clarified to mean it’s about games that users will be able to access from the classic consoles’ back catalog, Buser gave a rather canned response.
During the open beta launch on PlayStation 4 we’ll be focusing on PlayStation 3 titles. We don’t have anything specific to announce at this time.
Lastly, Buser commented that PS Now is in early days of the beta, and he encourages people to give their feedback on what they want to see in the future. So, if it’s playing PS1 and PS2 games on your PS4, better get those feedback lists ready.
