Proving just how popular the FIFA franchise is, FIFA 15’s debut accounted for 80% of all video games sold at retail in the UK last week, and even more impressive, it made up 87% of the overall revenue. Comparing this to FIFA 14’s first week (adding in the November PS4 & Xbox One launch week), FIFA 15 was about the same in units sold, while revenue was up 6%.
For a breakdown of sales, FIFA 15 didn’t experience the major gap most titles see between new-gen and last-gen, as the PS4/Xbox One combined for 54% and PS3/360 combined for 45%.
