PlayStation LifeStyle PlayList: October 4 & 5, 2014 – Mordor Edition

The One Ring seems to hold sway over us all as Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor released this week and the majority of us are planning on putting some time into taking on the entire Uruk hierarchy. Beyond that, it seems that reviews are picking up, so we’re playing an entire host of games to bring you our thoughts on them.

Here’s what everyone is playing this weekend:

Alex Co (@excaliburps)

I’ll be diving head first into Shadow of Mordor, Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments, maybe a little Destiny on the side, and possibly take a peek at Battlefield 4 to see if the patch really did improve the experience.

Now, just curious as to where I’ll actually find the time to do all these…

Cameron Teague

Going to wrap up my platinum for Naruto Shippudden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution and dive into some more PVZ: Garden Warfare.

Chandler Wood (@FinchStrife)

I’m thoroughly impressed with Shadow of Mordor, though a couple of reviews may hold me back such as Pier Solar HD and helping D’yani through Chariot. I also haven’t played Destiny in a week, so I’m sure Dan’s missing my Titan with the awesome haircut.

D’yani Wood (@Dyani)

I’ve got a few reviews to do, some of them co-o, so I imagine I’ll be playing with my lifetime co-op partner when he’s not playing his own things on PS4. And I really want to play Shadow of Mordor, but only one PS4 with so many reviews kind of trashes that idea.

Dan Oravasaari (@FoolsJoker)

After doing the live stream yesterday, I can’t exactly hide that I will be taking Driveclub for a few more laps before getting a review out. But, besides that I will probably defend the galaxy a few more times and even continue my stroll through Mordor for a few more side-missions.

Heath Hindman

I was showing Deemo to my sister, who replied “Oh, my friend has this game!” I said, “On Vita?” The answer was yes. I shall be investigating and if true, I’ve found my weekend quick fix. I also might pick up Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD ReMIX. It’s an excellent excuse to replay the best and worst Kingdom Hearts games.

Jason Dunning

With DriveClub and Dust: An Elysian Tail going free on PS+ on Tuesday, this is probably going to be my last weekend with Destiny, so I’ll be putting some time in the Crucible and attempting to raise my rank so I can get some cool weapons.

Louis Edwards (@ftwrthtx)

With the MLB Playoffs in full swing, MLB The Show will be played this weekend and you can bet I’ll be running through some bounties, missions, and strikes in Destiny.

Mack Ashworth

This weekend will be all about Shadow of Mordor. The devs at Monolith have really nailed it with this one, and I’m truly hooked.

Mark Labbe

I’ll be playing some more Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, and possibly head back to play as the head coach of the Patriots in Madden 2015.

Paulmichael Contreras

If the mail Gods are being merciful, then I will receive Alien: Isolation for review tonight or tomorrow. Either way, I’m going to finish playing Ar nosurge for review, and then try and squeeze in some Minecraft. I’m setting up my own hosted server! Fun times ahead, I’m sure.

Ryan

My destiny for this weekend is to be a nurse to my wife, who had surgery yesterday. If I’m lucky I’ll get a little bit of Destiny time in there too.

Zarmena Khan (@Zarmena)

I’m eagerly awaiting Driveclub and the PlayStation Plus October lineup. In the meanwhile, I’ll be playing some Need for Speed: Rivals and Magicka.

Are you taking on the Black Hand of Sauron in Middle-earth this weekend? Got anything else on your playlist? Let us know what you’ll be playing.
