As of late on October 28, the PlayStation Network is fully online and operational.
Additionally, in a tweet at 5:30am PT, PlayStation Europe said, “We are aware of issues reported by some PS4 users following the release of 2.0, our engineers are investigating. Thanks for your patience.”
So far, these issues appear to include being unable to wake your PS4 up from Rest Mode, with the YouTube App not working properly either.
Update 3 (2:30pm PT):
In a tweet sent out at 2:30pm PT, Ask PlayStation said, “We don’t have an ETA, we are working to fix it as soon as possible, please try to sign later.”
Update 2 (1:40pm PT):
The latest word from Sony came from Ask PlayStation at 1:10pm PT when they said, “We’re aware some of you are unable to connect to the PSN at this time. We are investigating the issue.”
Stay tuned for more updates as they arrive.
When the PSN is back up, those of you in North America will be able to take advantage of these deals.
Update (12:25pm PT):
Moments after we published, Sony changed the status of the PlayStation Network to Offline, giving us this message:
PSN is currently offline, and we are hard at work to resume service. At this time an estimate as to when PSN will be online is unavailable.
This latest downtime comes less than two weeks after the previous one on October 16.
Original Story:
Following scattered reports of people having issues connecting to the PlayStation Network after installing firmware update 2.00 on PlayStation 4 earlier today, the Ask PlayStation Twitter account has confirmed that people are experiencing issues with the PSN and they are investigating:
We’re aware some of you are unable to connect to the PSN at this time. We are investigating the issue.
Previously when people reported these PSN issues, Ask PlayStation said, “Disconnect your router and console from the power source for 3 minutes, reconnect them and try to access again,” so that’s always worth a try.
As always, we’ll keep an eye on the status of the PlayStation Network and let you know of any developments.
