According to MCV, Microsoft has just sold one million Xbox One units in the UK, reaching this number after the gaming console outsold the PlayStation 4 for three weeks in a row.
Despite the boost in sales, the Xbox One is still far behind PS4 sales in the UK. Sony reached the one million units sold mark back in September, meaning the Xbox One is behind by a couple of months.
Overall, Sony has shipped around 13.5 million PS4 consoles, while Microsoft has shipped only around 10 million Xbox One systems. Even so, due to a number of Xbox One holiday deals, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen recently said that he believes the Xbox One is “catching up quickly” to the PS4.
