Ed Zarick, a self-taught engineer, has actually created a laptop that combines both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One, allowing users to play either console from only one machine. According to a blog post created by Zarick, the PS4 is on the left of the system, while the Xbox One is on the right. He calls it the PlayBox.
The PS4 sits on the left hand side of the unit, and the Xbox One is on the right side. The whole unit still only takes one power cord (must be plugged in) and only one unit can be powered on at the same time.
This system took a lot of attempts and reconfiguring to make everything fit and still some things had to be compromised to make the system work, for example it was impossible to get the USB ports on the Xbox to be extended to the outside of the case. But the unit does offer Ethernet ports for both units (WiFi for both units also works), along with HDMI Out.
Sadly, this machine is not for sale, as it was custom made by Zarick for a lucky customer. Whether or not they will ever be mass-produced is not known, but I suppose you could always contact Zarick to see if he will make you a custom machine as well.
What do you think of this awesome laptop? Do you want to get one?
