Developer Ninja Theory will be bringing “a slew of new features” to the upcoming DmC: Devil May Cry Definitive Edition, according to a post on the PlayStation blog. The features include a Turbo mode, a Hardcore mode, the ability to mix and match different modes, and a new difficulty level.
The Turbo mode increases the game’s speed by 20 percent, which makes fighting off enemies much more challenging. And the Hardcore mode is meant to adjust combat design in such a way that it feels like “traditional Devil May Cry games.” According to the article, “this means a more rigorous Style ranking system, modified Devil Trigger, and other tweaks.” The Definitive Edition will allow players to mix and match different modes, enabling an “unprecedented degree of control over how the game plays.”
The new difficulty level is called “Gods Must Die” in which enemies’ Devil Triggers are active when spawning. “This is the game’s way of saying ‘good luck, LOL,’ and then throwing Dante into a giant hell blender,” states the post. Most of these additions are already present in Vergil’s Downfall.
DmC: Devil May Cry Definitive Edition will launch on March 10 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
