Dontnod: Story for Remember Me 2 has Been Written, Capcom Must Decide Whether to Make It

While developer Dontnod Entertainment is hard at work on the first season of Life is Strange right now, Creative Director Jean-Maxime Moris told Siliconera that he would love to work on a sequel for their previous title, Remember Me. In fact, as Moris explained, the main story has already been written:

We know what we would do for Remember Me 2. The main story has been written we know what we would add to the recipe. We know what we would fix. It’s a game that’s ready to be made, but that decision is Capcom’s to make.

Based on initial sales of the game, Capcom likely wouldn’t greenlight a sequel, but Remember Me did thrive when it became a PlayStation Plus title, ending up as the #2 most downloaded freebie in Europe during 2013.

Right now though, Moris says Dontnod is focused on Life is Strange, which is expected to continue sometime this month with Episode 2. Then, once the first season is up later this year, he hopes they can keep working on the series:

We need to capitalize on what we have done. It is a balance of trying different things and capitalizing on what we know. For Season 2 we started bouncing ideas off each other. Obviously we need to see and Square Enix needs to see how the first season does to really decide whether we kick it off or not. So, it’s not in the works, but we have started the very early stages of conception at Dontnod.

Which would you rather see: Remember Me 2 or Life is Strange Season 2?
