In case you didn’t know, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) finally approved the ruling against Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) regarding the the PlayStation Vita lawsuit where it says that Sony falsely advertised the capabilities of its handheld.
Yep, as the headline states, PS Vita refund emails are being sent out presently. For those who bought a Vita before 2012, you now have a chance to refund something from Sony.
Users have the option of:
- 1) $25 check being mailed to the affected party
- 2) $25 PSN voucher that will come at the end of the refund period (June 30, 2015)
- 3) Select a voucher for a three-set bundle of digital games
In case you’re interested at what games are on offer, they are a nice bunch; although there’s no PS4 game available.
People who got the email or eligible to redeem the refunds can go to this site to fill out the form.

The claims site will require that eligible users enter their PS Vita’s ID and serial number, which can be located at the bottom of your handheld (If it’s faded, you can hook your Vita to a PC and check under “properties”).
Now, for those who qualify, but didn’t get an email, you can fill out this form, and mail it to the claims people so you can have a chance at getting one of the items above. If you think you’ve qualify but didn’t get the email, please check your Spam inbox/folder as multiple users have reported that the email gets routed there for some reason.
Don’t forget that the cutoff is on June 30, 2015, so be sure to submit your claims before then. Once that’s done, then comes the hard part: the waiting.
