Given a July 2015 release window at E3 2015, Sierra Games and The Odd Gentlemen confirmed today that chapter 1 of the new King’s Quest, titled King’s Quest: A Knight to Remember, is releasing on July 28 in North America and Europe on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC at $9.99, with Xbox versions on July 29.
Just like Telltale’s games, King’s Quest will be released episodically, with the remaining four chapters and a bonus playable story epilogue becoming available for download throughout 2015 and 2016. If you’re interested in getting the complete collection of all five episodes and the epilogue, titled King’s Quest: The Complete Collection, it’ll be available for pre-order later today on the PlayStation Store and Steam for $39.99.
Here’s the description for King’s Quest:
Developed by The Odd Gentlemen, King’s Quest rekindles the classic feelings of exploration, wit and wonder that have always defined this family-friendly series since its introduction over 30 years ago. The first entry in a planned five-chapter arc, King’s Quest: A Knight to Remember sets the stage for an unforgettable journey to come with original places, puzzles and personalities to discover. As an aging King Graham reflects on a life of adventure with his granddaughter, Gwendolyn, King’s Quest transports players back to the untold tales of Graham’s youth to experience a story that bridges generations.
