Reaching three million players a week ago, Rocket League developer Psyonix revealed that more than four million people have download the game across PlayStation 4 and PC since launch just over two weeks ago. They didn’t provide a breakdown, but PS4 is likely leading the way by a wide margin thanks to its inclusion in the PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection.
Also on Twitter, it was revealed that the next big patch is “almost done” and some paid cars are coming in a few weeks. Here’s the concept art for one of those cars:

If you’re curious, “The other one IS a muscle car.”
Asked about having paid DLC, Psyonix said, “All maps are free, not all DLC. That’s always been our position. Happy to clarify.” While all maps are free, “Other add-on content is a mix of paid and free.”
As for the free DLC they’re giving away as an apology for the server issues, it’s on the way and will be given out via an upcoming, but currently undated, patch.
Also in the near future, Rocket League will add a Spectator Mode and 3v3 Ranked.
