During a recent Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection live-stream event, Naughty Dog may have accidentally confirmed the existence of The Last of Us 2.
The event had Writer Josh Scherr, Lead Animator Eric Baldwin, and Community strategist Eric Monacelli all discussing Uncharted and past Naughty Dog projects, including The Last of Us. At one point, Scherr talked about the facial animations in the games, and said that Eric helped create the ones in “the first The Last of Us.”
All the facial animation in the Uncharted series was led up by Eric, here… and the first The Last of Us. Uh, did I say the first The Last of Us?
After that, Scherr seemed to get a bit jumbled, leading his two colleagues to laugh. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard talk of a sequel to The Last of Us, as voice actor Nolan North, who is currently working on a big project with Warner Bros., said earlier in the year that Naughty Dog is working on The Last of Us 2.
