As expected , PlayStation 3 firmware update 4.78 and PlayStation Vita/PlayStation Vita firmware update 3.57 are now available to download.
Instead of adding the usual stability enhancements, the PS Vita and PS3 updates only remove Facebook features, with the singular patch note for each saying:
PS3 Update
Support for Facebook features on the system has been discontinued.
PS Vita/PS TV Update
Support for Facebook features on the systems has been discontinued.
For Vita, Sony says, “You might not be able to use some applications or content without first updating the system software,” and on PS3, they say, “Depending on the software title, you may not be able to play without first updating the PS3 system software.”
You can download the new firmware through the internet from the UK or US PlayStation sites, with the PS3 update requiring a minimum of 200MB.
If you missed it yesterday, the new PlayStation Store sales in North America include Warner Bros and 2K publisher sales.
Did you notice anything else changing after installing the new update?

Best PS Vita Game 2015 (PSLS Awards)
Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~
Publisher: Aksys Games
Developer: Idea Factory, Design Factory
"Code: Realize ~Guardian of Rebirth~ is unabashedly goofy and melodramatic. It brings in famous characters from classic fiction, then strips them down to the silliest of anime archetypes. Its cast speaks in the broadest of cliches, uttering declarations of vengeance and everlasting love in every other scene. Still, one can’t help but feel that this is all part of the show, and if you’re of a certain persuasion you’ll be enraptured by the detailed world and handsome gents of this energetic fantasy. "

Lost Dimension
Publisher: Atlus
Developer: Lancarse
"With Lost Dimension , I feel like there is just so much more the game could have been. The concept is there, it just needed a bit more on the execution side to really make for a great story. The combat system is in place and ready to wow you with all its interesting quirks, but is shot in the foot by it’s ridiculously easy “challenge.” The game also feels a bit on the short side, clocking in at around 8-10 hours on my first playthrough, with the game forcing you to beat it a few times to achieve its true ending. Just a little bit more time spent on the game could have done wonders, but even so, Lost Dimension is still a game well worth checking out and one that Vita/PS3 owners should be excited about. Oh, and it is compatible with PS TV, if that helps. "

Danganronpa Another Episode
Publisher: Spike Chunsoft
Developer: Spike Chunsoft
"There’s something satisfying about destroying heaps of Monokumas, which wasn’t possibly in the design of the first two games. Now we get to have our revenge, set against the dark and twisted backdrop of children murdering all of the adults in Towa City in a sport not too unlike The Hunger Games or Battle Royale. It’s certainly no replacement forDanganronpa 3 , and I find myself pining for that announcement, but Ultra Despair Girls surprised me far more than I thought it could. It’s a little different, and may take some adjusting for fans to get used to, but it provides a meaningful slice of the Danganronpa pie and does so in a unique and despairing way that only a Danganronpa game can. SUPERBEAT: XONiC
Publisher: Nurijoy
Developer: PM Studios, Atlus & Acttil
"Superbeat: XONiC is a solid addition to any Vita fan’s library, even if you’re not a connoisseur of the rhythm genre. The tunes’ over-the-top excursions into sensory overload are a ton of fun, and their brief length makes them ideal for portable gaming. Some of the song selections are questionable at best, and there aren’t a whole lot of modes to choose from — but hey, who needs gimmicks, anyway? This is a pure, visceral rhythm game best played with a limber set of fingers and headphones cranked up to 11. "
