The first DLC pack for Just Cause 3, Sky Fortress is releasing in March 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. If you own the Season Pass ($24.99/€24.99/£19.99), Sky Fortress will be available one week early, while everyone else will be able to buy it separately for $11.99 /€11.99/£9.49.
Sky Fortress contains a new set of missions that introduce the Sky Fortress and an army of deadly robotic drones. To fight them, you’ll use the new Bavarium Wingsuit, which includes shoulder mounted machine guns and auto targeting missiles, as well as the Eviction personal defense drone and Bavarium Splitter assault rifle.
Land Mech Assault is the second DLC pack for Just Cause 3 and also sees a new set of missions, this time introducing a new armored mech armed with a gravity gun that can be carried over into the main game. “Although the mech is as strong as a tank, it is highly maneuverable and agile and behaves unlike anything else in the game,” developer Avalanche explains.
Bavarium Sea Heist, the third and final DLC pack in the Season Pass, will be detailed in the coming months.
Although Land Mech Assault and Bavarium Sea Heist are currently undated, Avalanche says they’ll be available before the end of summer 2016, and Season Pass holders will get them one week early.
Avalanche Studios Senior Producer Tobias Andersson said:
If Just Cause 3 is over-the-top action then the Air, Land and Sea Expansion pass aims to stand on its shoulders and reach even higher. An incredible amount of time has been spent ensuring every new item is fully integrated into the main game and can be used during existing missions. Rico’s new Bavarium Wingsuit will fundamentally alter the core gameplay of Just Cause 3 and we can’t wait to see the crazy stunts that players perform with it.
Asked on Twitter if there will be a Just Cause 4, the official Twitter account said, “We can’t confirm anything right now, but one thing is for sure… the team here has a blast making Just Cause games!”
