The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine Confirmed for May 31, Watch the Teaser Trailer

CD Projekt Red officially announced today that the Blood and Wine expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is releasing on May 31 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

With CD Projekt Red now saying it offers 30 hours of gameplay (up from 20 hours), here’s the description for Blood and Wine:

Welcome to the land of summer, a remote valley untouched by war. The land of wandering knights, noble ladies and magnificent wineries. What better time to visit than now, when this kingdom of virtue is torn apart by a series of savage massacres! Geralt of Rivia, a legendary monster slayer, takes on his last great contract. Blood and Wine offers over 30 hours of adventure, where beauty clashes with horror, and love dances with deceit.

Game Director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz adds:

Blood and Wine makes The Witcher 3 complete it’s Geralt’s final mission. Containing more than 90 new quests, and over thirty hours of brand new adventures, it’s something that I think gamers will remember for a long time. There’s also a massive amount of features we’re giving gamers with this expansion like a dynamic Point of Interest system, a new Gwent deck, new endgame mutation mechanics, and even a place Geralt can call home…. And it’s all happening in a new region as big as No Man’s Land in the base game.

As CD Projekt Red’s Marcin Momot added on Twitter, the recommended level for Blood and Wine is 34-35, but it’s also dependent on your gear.

You can pre-order Blood and Wine through the PlayStation Store for $17.99 (10% off the regular price). There’s also a limited edition retail version of Blood and Wine at GameStop for $29.99 that includes a Blood and Wine download code, Gwent guide, Nilfgaard Gwent deck, Northern Realms Gwent deck, Gwent tokens, and Collector’s box.
