15 PC Games We Want on PlayStation
Arma 3
Price: $59.99
Steam Page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/107410/
There's massive warfare, and then there's Arma . Arma 3 released in late 2013 on PC. Featuring an absolutely mind-bogglingly-huge map, and realistic everything, this game brings challenges that few other games can offer. While a console port of Arma 3 has been ruled out , there are whispers that Arma 4 could see a next-gen console release (think: PS4K, possibly PS5).
Factorio
Price: $20
Steam Page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/427520/
Factorio is all about efficiency. Think of Transport Tycoon , or OpenTTD , but on a much larger scale, and with the occasional alien to defend against. Using different kinds of robots, you are tasked with efficiently delivering products created with resources gathered from an infinite 2D world. The controls might be a bit of a hinderance on consoles, but perhaps the PS4's DualShock 4 touchpad could help...
Grim Dawn
Price: $24.99
Steam Page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/219990/
For those looking for a new dungeon crawler, Grim Dawn fits the bill quite nicely. Released in February of this year, this action RPG includes very deep character customization, a fully-realized world rich in lore, and an overwhelming number of enemies. The game is created by a smaller team, and as such it may be hard to get a port to the PS4, but we would certainly appreciate all the hard work!
Rust
Price: $19.99
Steam Page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/252490/
Rust has been making waves ever since it was first announced. It aims for a realistic take at living in nature, contending with wild animals and wild humans alike. You can form shaky alliances, but you've always got to watch your back. While there was talk of a console port a while back, things have been fairly quiet on that front lately...
Scrap Mechanic
Price: $19.99 (Early Access)
Steam Page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/387990
For something a little different, check out Scrap Mechanic . You play as an engineer, with the ability to craft all kinds of crazy contraptions. While the game is still in Early Access, it's still one that might be doable on the consoles. If it were low-poly, we'd even ask for a Vita port, because that touchscreen could come in handy for some mischief...
Slime Rancher
Price: $19.99
Steam Page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/433340/
Take the Suck Cannon from Ratchet & Clank , and add in a bizarre form of farming, and you've got yourself Slime Rancher , pardner! This is a first-person sandbox game, with a wonderful art style and quirky mechanics. While there are currently no plans for a PS4 release, it doesn't look too taxing, so perhaps if the game sells well enough a sequel could be in our future.
SpeedRunners
Price: $14.99
Steam Page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/207140/
Warning! SpeedRunners might just break some of your lifelong friendships. This is a highly competitive, stylized game. Using weapons, pick-ups, a grappling hook and good ol' gravity, fight in a cutthroat race to the finish in this intensely fun multiplayer game. The game is slated to release on the Xbox One, so hopefully it will make it to the current-gen leader soon enough...
Stardew Valley
Price: $14.99
Steam Page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/413150/
Stardew Valley sees you living life as a simple farmer, making ends meet by tending to your crops. But there is so much more to this game, to stop there would be such a shame. Between mining, harvesting, fishing, spelunking, and even romancing, it's easy to lose many hours to this quant game. While we've hardly received hard confirmation of a port , an announcement is hopefully due any minute now...
Starpoint Gemini Warlords
Price: $22.49 (Early Access)
Steam Page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/419480/
This is a promising-looking space simulator that tasks you with conquering the galaxy. Trade, build up your fleets, and defend your own to become an unstoppable force. The game looks great, and while we would normally have reservations about controls on the PS4 with such a game, it doesn't seem too unlikely of a fit, perhaps with keyboard and mouse control...
Stellaris
Price: $39.99
Steam Page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/281990/
The developers of Crusader King s and Europa Universalis brings us their first strategy game, set in space. Sure, strategy games are tough to bring over to the console, but with the pedigree of Paradox Development Studios, it's not hard to imagine a workable control scheme.
15 PC Games We Want on PlayStation #11
SUPERHOT
Price: $24.99
Steam Page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/322500/
Take a heavy dose of The Matrix 's iconic bullet-time, add in a lot of minimalistic graphics, and only move things when the player moves, and you have SUPERHOT . It's a mind-twistingly fun challenge in first-person, and since the game has already been ported to the Xbox One, that means that a PS4 port should be more than doable. So what's holding it back?
The Culling
If you're in the mood for some ultraviolence , The Culling may be for you! This is a hyper-bloody, no-holds-barred, trapped-on-an-island deathmatch in which there are no rules, only death by any means necessary. The game doesn't look too intense from a graphics standpoint, so if it does well enough on PC perhaps we may see a port down the line.
Undertale
Price: $9.99
Steam Page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/391540/
Undertale is the 8-bit styled RPG where nobody has to die. Or does everybody have to die? It's your decision. The story grabs ahold of you, and can even make you question why games have hardly changed, despite their outward appearances. This feels like a game yearning for a console release. If not on the PS4, how about the Vita?
XCOM 2
Price: $59.99
Steam Page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/268500/
XCOM: Enemy Unknown was a rousing success. The Bureau , a bit less so . XCOM 2 has righted all of the wrongs of that last game, and was the first game our staff thought of for this feature. Turn-based strategy lends itself a lot better to the console format than straight strategy, so a port would be doable. The only question is, how much money do we have to throw at our screens to make this a reality on our PS4s?!
