Square Enix is putting on a live concert for music from the upcoming Final Fantasy XV on September 7, 2016. It will be held at the famous Abbey Road Studios for one night only, starring the London Philharmonic Orchestra. World renown composer, Yoko Shimomura, will also make a special guest appearance at the show. She happens to be the composer of the FFXV score as well. If you can’t make the concert, no worries, because no tickets will be sold; the entire show will be livestreamed for anyone to enjoy.
Abbey Road Studios is the recording studio for the video game score, and Shimomura is rather excited about sharing the music she has composed and recorded in this studio with the world.
With so many iconic recordings taking place here over the years, performing the music for Final Fantasy XV in the very same recording studio is a huge honor for me and for everyone involved. I am excited to be able to collaborate with Abbey Road Studios for this performance and to share the music of Final Fantasy XV with everyone. I hope that music and video game fans around the world can tune-in and join me for this incredible experience.”
Square Enix has not yet shared details on where the concert will be broadcast, but they will announce these details soon. For now, mark your calendars for September 7, 2016 at 19:00 BST/20:00 CEST/11:oo PDT.
