With Sonic Mania playable at PAX West, both IGN and Polygon uploaded gameplay videos featuring footage from the re-imagined Green Hill Zone and Studiopolis Zone. The Polygon video (above) is 12 minutes long and starts off with Green Hill, before moving to Studiopolis at 5:30. The IGN video is seven minutes long and goes from Green Hill to Studiopolis at 2:00.

Sonic Mania brings fans back into the 2D world of platform games with nostalgic pixel-style art and core classic gameplay by reimagining iconic Zones and Acts from Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic The Hedgehog 2, Sonic CD and Sonic The Hedgehog 3 and Knuckles. Before you get too lost in nostalgia of the 1990s, the game is also adding completely new Zones with all-new Acts and bosses into the mix.
Sonic Mania will release digitally in spring 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Then, in holiday 2017, Project Sonic will be released for PS4, Xbox One, and NX.
