We’ve got additional details on two PS4 Pro releases on the system’s launch day. The developers behind World of Tanks and Ride 2 have revealed what they will offer gamers that purchase Sony’s more powerful system. Non-surprisingly, both games will look and run better.
Milestone’s motorcycle racing game Ride 2 will look even better on PS4 Pro. The MotoGP and Sebastian Loeb Rally Evo developer revealed that Ride 2 will run at a 4K resolution and run at 30 frames-per-second. The game also recently received a patch that fixed a number of issues including poor A.I. behavior during collisions and issues with some online race types. Full patch notes can be found on the racing title’s website.
Meanwhile World of Tanks will run at a 3200 x 1800 resolution that will then upscale to 4K according to developer Wargaming. It will also support for HDR output and will run at a “smoother framerate.” On the PlayStation Blog, World of Tanks Executive Producer TJ Wagner said that HDR brings the game to life and that “the vibrant colors of the vegetation in the Karelia swamps are more intense and lifelike, and the water looks cool, blue, and inviting in its richness.” Maps and tanks will also look more detailed as additional graphical effects have been enabled.
“Wargaming is always dedicated to being at the forefront of new gaming technology,” said Wagner in a prepared statement. “The PS4 Pro is the perfect example of how we are bringing our games to as many platforms and players as possible. We are excited to add PS4 Pro support to World of Tanks and can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
