Call of Duty Black Ops 3 update 1.27 patch notes

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Awakening DLC to Be Free This Weekend

With Treyarch promising support for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 in 2017, the developer has stuck to its guns and has now rolled out a free Black Ops 3 “Awakening” expansion trial for the weekend.

Starting April 7, 10 a.m. PT (live right now!) and up to Monday, 10 a.m. PT, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (sorry, PC!) Black Ops 3 owners will be able to try the Awakening map pack, which includes four multiplayer maps and Der Eisendrache Zombies map, for free!

This isn’t the first time Treyarch rolled out a free trial for one of its expansions, as the studio also did the exact same thing in March last year. If you want to know what we thought of the Awakening expansion, check out our review.

In addition to the free trial, it seems Treyarch is also discounting Supply Drops in Black Ops 3! Rare Supply Drops will be 50 percent off this weekend in the Black Market. If you’re still hoping to get some of the exclusive Supply Drop camos or weapons, now’s your chance.

Anyone jumping back to last year’s Call of Duty to try Awakening or will you be sticking to Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare for your multiplayer fix?
