In little over a week, gamers will get to see the first Star Wars Battlefront II gameplay livestream. This will occur June 10 as part of the publisher’s EA Play event. That afternoon (12:30 PM PT, 3:30 PM ET) players will be able to watch 40-players battle it out on Theed. That timing indicates that it’ll happen 30 minutes into Electronic Arts’ yearly press conference.
In an interesting note, Star Wars Battlefront 2 won’t be played by DICE employees during its worldwide debut, as EA is bringing in a number of YouTube and Twitch streamers to play the game. The forty participants will be split into two teams, with one led by StoneMountain64, and the other by Neebs Gaming. Other names confirmed include JackFrags and Darkness429. EA is promising to have “some of the biggest names in gaming,” so don’t be surprised if some celebrities show up as well. After all, who can forget Zac Efron’s appearance from last year?

At EA Play, you’ll be able to watch the first-ever live gameplay reveal of Star Wars ™ Battlefront ™ II, featuring livestream of 40-player gameplay set during the Assault on Theed – one of the new multiplayer battles from the prequel trilogy. Clone Troopers will mount a desperate defense against the invading forces of the Separatist Battle Droids. Can the Republic forces stop the relentless crawl of the massive Multi-Troop Transport as it lumbers toward the palace doors?
