According to GfK Entertainment, the best-selling physical games in Europe from January 2017 through June 2017 were Grand Theft Auto V and FIFA 17 – no small feat considering that GTA V first launched in September 2013, while FIFA 17 came out in September 2016.
Looking at some games that actually came out in 2017, Ghost Recon Wildlands was the #1 game in Switzerland, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was #1 in France, Norway, and Sweden, and Horizon Zero Dawn placed in 2nd in France, Germany, and Italy.
