A single-player survival and exploration experience, The Solus Project is coming to PlayStation 4 with full PlayStation VR support on September 18, Grip Digital announced today. It launched for Xbox One and PC back in 2016, and it didn’t look like it was heading to PS4.
Offering 12+ hours of gameplay (or 20+ if you search for everything, and 15 in VR due to slower movement), here’s what to expect from The Solus Project:
Humanity is on the verge of extinction. You are the last hope, tasked with finding a safe haven for a colony. But now you are stranded on a deserted alien planet and every other member of your crew is dead. The fate of humanity rests in your hands: you must survive…
The Solus Project is a first-person survival-exploration adventure set on a mysterious and seemingly uninhabited alien planet. To stay alive you must explore and unlock the mysteries of Gliese-6143-C.
- Explore – Unlock the depths of the uncharted planet, and discover the secrets buried deep below. Delve into huge cave systems and tombs and uncover over 200 secrets.
- Survive – Survive the extreme climate, tornadoes, storms, meteors, lightning… and the dark secrets buried beneath the surface.
The Solus Project is up for pre-order on the European PlayStation Store, priced at €19.99/£15.99 (likely $19.99 USD). By pre-ordering, PlayStation Plus members can save 20% off the regular price.
According to the PlayStation Store listing, a PlayStation Move motion controller is required to play The Solus Project in VR.
