Destiny 2 Expansion

Report: The First Destiny 2 Expansion Is Called The Curse of Osiris

According to two Kotaku sources, the first Destiny 2 expansion is called The Curse of Osiris, it focuses on the space wizard Osiris, will launch in December 2017, and includes a patrol zone on Mercury and a new social space on the Lighthouse.

The report adds that the story will revolve around saving Osiris from the Vex, and we should hear official details soon.

Early details on the Destiny 2 Expansion Pass were announced back in March, with Bungie saying, “Get access to both Expansion I and Expansion II, offering brand new story missions, co-operative activities, competitive multiplayer, and a wealth of new weapons, armor, and gear.” It will cost $34.99 USD on its own, or you can pay $30 extra and get it in the Game + Expansion Pass bundle.

Shortly after the Expansion Pass was announced, a GameStop leak showed that Expansion I would be out in Winter 2017, with Expansion II following in Spring 2018. Bungie has since confirmed those dates.

On Twitter, Bungie is teasing the reveal of its Destiny 2 live action trailer, which will arrive at 10am PT/1pm ET tomorrow, August 31.

Destiny 2 releases on September 6 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will arrive on October 24 for PC. A PC Beta is currently ongoing and will end tomorrow.
