Captain Rouge Productions showed off a brand new trailer for their upcoming game The Hong Kong Massacre during the pre-stream for Sony’s Paris Games Week conference.
The game has been in development for some time, with prototype trailers surfacing on the interview as far back as three years ago. From the looks of those trailers, the game has gone under some serious changes, and now sports a much more heavily stylized look and feel to it. Instead of focusing on the violent aspects of a twin stick shooter, it seems like developer Vreski has instead gone a more stylistic approach, and the game honestly looks better for it, as the lights and scenery of Hong Kong look really good in the short teaser for the game.
No release date for the game has been determined, but according to the trailer (above) the game will release some time in 2018. From the looks of it, the game seems to be a twin stick shooter set in the gritty underworld of Hong Kong. Judging by the trailer, the game has a definite Max Payne and Hotline Miami feel to it.
The Hong Kong Massacre is slated to launch sometime in 2018 for the PlayStation 4.
