Arkham Asylum 2 will “Surprise” Fans

Batman: Arkham Asylum was easily one of the Best games of 2009 and one of the best licensed-games released yet. When Rocksteady blew the lid off of Arkham Asylum 2 during the opening of the Spike Video Game Awards, fans couldn’t believe their eyes. Soon doubt started to creep in… could Rocksteady pump out another Triple-A game in such a short time? Have no fear, as Rocksteady’s head-honcho is here to calm any fears that you might have and talks about how he thinks that the sequel will ‘surprise’ fans of the first game.

In an interview with ComputerAndVideoGames, Rocksteady Boss Sefton Hill talked about how he is excited about the new Batman title and how he believes it will surprise fans all over again:

We’re all really excited that people want to see what we’re up to next and we really want to surprise people again. I’m really excited by our next project and I promise we won’t let anyone down.

Sweetness! You just know the guys have mountains of pressure on their shoulders to make the game even better than the first.

Personally, it was my GOTY until Uncharted 2 came along and knocked it off the mountain of awesomeness. Believe me, if for some reason you missed out on B:AA, run, don’t walk, to the closest game retailer and purchase it. Yeah, I know Final Fantasy XIII and God of War III hit this week and next, but Batman: Arkham Asylum is that good. No joke. I’m a Marvel Comics guy, and I loved the game.

If you’re a fan of the first game and haven’t watched the teaser trailer for B:AA 2, then check it out. Or you could check out Arkhamhasmoved.com…one of those snazzy viral sites, if you know what I mean. Just make sure you come back to PlayStation LifeStyle for all the latest news on Batman: Arkham Asylum 2.
