Battlefield 2042 Update 3.2 Out Now, Update 3.3 Coming in February

DICE rolled out Battlefield 2042 update 3.2 today, aimed towards smaller fixes and improvements including rubberbanding issues and XP changes in Battlefield Portal. Some of the most widely-requested changes, like revamped Scoreboard, will be coming in the relatively substantial update 3.3 in February. However, all-platform VOIP is something DICE is still looking into so it doesn’t have anything to share at this time.

Battlefield 2042 update 3.2 highlights

DICE has fixed a “rare” hit registration issue with Sundance’s hitbox, addressed players getting stuck when under fire from explosions, and has fixed rubberbanding that occurred when behind friendlies. The update has also fixed an issue that caused the game to freeze upon leaving a party during matchmaking.

In Battlefield Portal, the server info tab will now stay in place when players refresh the server browser. Additionally, certain admin commands can no longer be spammed and the Rules Editor properly works with melee weapons now.

Battlefield 2042 update 3.3 and beyond

Battlefield 2042‘s revamped scoreboard will show player performance across a server. There are a couple of more changes in the works that DICE will detail in due course. The developer said that this isn’t a “one and done deal for us” and it’ll continue to tweak the scoreboard as and when needed in the future.

“Our teams continue to analyze the data available to us, and develop further optimizations that enable the game to make best use of your hardware,” DICE wrote. “In every update, we’ll be delivering changes big and small that aim to tackle the issues and improve your experience.”

In other news, we got a brand spankin’ new trailer for Horizon Forbidden West, and Spider-Man: Miles Morales was one of 2021’s best-selling games in the United States.
