Wild Hearts Trailer Mixes Monster Hunting With a Fantasy Feudal Japan

Wild Hearts has been revealed with a gameplay trailer. This new Omega Force game takes what the developers learned from making the Dynasty Warriors franchise and applies it to the monster hunting genre. Created in partnership with EA Originals, Wild Hearts aims to take players on epic adventures set in a fantasy world inspired by feudal Japan.

The gameplay trailer shows a range of ancient technologies used to battle the giant beasts that players will face.

Players won’t have to fight solo, as Wild Hearts will have “seamless co-op.”

Being set in feudal Japan, Wild Hearts is sure to inspire comparisons to Ghost of Tsushima, at least by PlayStation players.

In an interview with IGN, Omega Force provided more details on the “Karakuri” crafting system. Karakuri “[allow] for the creation of extremely flexible and creative hunting grounds to take on powerful beasts.” They “can range from types that can be built instantly during battle, to some that can be combined to create new Karakuri, and also types that are used to build hunting grounds by utilizing many different materials.”

Additionally, details about the game’s combat reveal it to be “different from that of the Warriors series or hunting titles we’ve seen before.”

Wild Hearts release date

Wild Hearts will release on February 17, 2023.

It’s not yet clear which platforms it will launch on.
