A new PlayStation State of Play has been announced and it’s happening earlier than you might expect. While a new State of Play is always going to excite PlayStation fans, it might be wise to keep expectations in check as the show is going to focus less on first-party reveals, instead giving third parties and indies the spotlight.
Tune into PlayStation State of Play on February 23
As revealed on Twitter and in an official PS Blog post, Sony has scheduled the next State of Play for this week.
The next PlayStation State of Play will take place on February 23 at 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET / 9 PM GMT.
The broadcast will focus on third-party reveals, indie announcements, five new PSVR 2 titles, and an extended look at Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Sony has promised “glimpses” at the new PSVR 2 games that are set for release later this year. The new Suicide Squad game, on the other hand, will have “more than 15 minutes” dedicated to “all-new gameplay details and updates.”
Rumors had already pointed towards an upcoming reveal for new third-party content, and it looks like this State of Play is when those games will be showcased.
Those “third-party reveals” could contain the “major” game that had been rumored to be revealed soon.
