Popular PS Plus Game Downloaded 6.4m Times, Dev Thanks Players

It turns out PS Plus games do benefit from being on Sony’s subscription service. Developer Binary Haze Interactive has revealed Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights was downloaded 6.4 million times as August’s free PS Plus offering.

PS Plus game Ender Lilies benefits from being August’s free game

In an X (formerly Twitter) post, the official Ender Lilies account announced its impressive new milestone. Crediting PS Plus as a contributing factor to its 6.4 million downloads, the post thanks everyone for checking out the action RPG.

“Thank you very much for picking up Ender Lilies as part of the PlayStation Plus ‘Free Play’ feature,” says the translated post. “During this period, the number of PlayStation installs increased by 6.4 million! We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who provided us with encouragement and support.”

Ender Lilies initially launched on Steam Early Access in January 2021. It then launched on PS4 in July of the same year. It reviewed quite well, with an 86 metascore on Metacritic. In August 2024, it was one of PS Plus Essential’s free offerings alongside LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and Five Nights at Freddy’s Security Breach. It seems the subscription service helped breathe fresh life into Binary Haze interactives lauded game.

Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist is the sequel to Ender Lilies. Announced earlier this month, it is slated to release on January 23, 2025 for PS5 and PS4. It is available via Steam Early Access right now for $19.99.

August’s PS Plus games have come and gone, but September has a trio of titles still available to download. Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, MLB The Show 24, and Little Nightmares 2 are available until September 30. Anyone who wants to check these games out may want to claim them while they can.
