PlayStation players that couldn’t get their hands on any 30th anniversary consoles and accessories are in luck. It seems Sony will have another wave of PS5 Slim anniversary Bundles, and DualSense controllers incredibly soon.
When will the PS5 Slim anniversary bundle and DualSense supposedly restock?
According to PlayStation Direct (spotted by billbil-kun), the PS5 Slim anniversary bundle and DualSense controller is expected to restock on October 29, 2024. At the time of this writing, we are just one day away from these coming back to PlayStation’s digital storefront. On both store pages, there is a line of text under the release date that says, “please check back on October 29th.” A specific time is not given. The themed console will cost $499.99, while the controller will cost $79.99.
Those who want the 30th anniversary themed PS5 Pro, DualSense Edge controller, or PlayStation Portal are out of luck. It does not seem this wave includes any of those consoles or accessories as the aforementioned statement is absent from their respective store pages. Unless Sony pulls a fast one, and drops some surprisingly tomorrow, don’t expect a restock on those specific products.
This restock is specific to PlayStation Direct U.S. customers. Listings on PlayStation Direct for Europe do not include the October 29 notification, so it may be safe to assume this wave won’t be available in Europe for now.
The PS5 Slim anniversary bundle, and DualSense controller celebrate 30 years of Sony’s beloved gaming platform. The console and controller both sport shades of gray, reminiscent of the PS1’s color scheme. This includes the more colorful PlayStation logo button, and the colored face buttons on the DualSense.
Although PS5 Pro anniversary bundles will not be restocked, the standard edition of the enhanced console is still available on PlayStation Direct. Featuring advanced ray tracing, AI upscaling tech, and larger GPU, the PS5 Pro costs $699.99. Several games like Rise of the Ronin, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will get special graphics modes that utilize the new hardware at launch.
