Final Fantasy inspired PS5 console exclusive Lost Soul Aside has yet another release date window following seven years of delays. This time, we’ve been promised a 2025 release, and although things look like they’re finally on track, some fans remain skeptical that Lost Soul Aside will release before the PS6.
Lost Soul Aside release date window accompanied by new gameplay trailer
Unlike previous release window announcements, this time, Sony has officially stepped in to share a new gameplay trailer for Lost Soul Aside. Not only that, but Steam and PS Store pages for the game are now live with the ability to wishlist, indicating that things are actually moving forward.
Still, some fans are rightfully keeping their expectations in check, while others have expressed excitement for a new Sony-backed Asian game following the successful launches of of Black Myth: Wukong and Stellar Blade.
“Embark on an epic odyssey to save your sister and the whole of humankind from dimensional invaders in Lost Soul Aside,” reads an official description. “Chain lightning-fast combos, learn new abilities, and upgrade your weapons as you take on formidable enemies and colossal bosses in fast, dynamic combat.”
Lost Soul Aside was originally a fan project before it was picked up by Sony as part of its China Hero Project program. The game started development as a PS4 exclusive, and was later locked in for the PS5 and PC. Lost Soul Aside’s PS4 version has been canceled.
