Dylan Jobe Teases Starhawk Announcement

It has been almost three years since the debut of Warhawk; one of the very first killer apps for the PlayStation 3 library. Rumors have been floating around about a potential sequel to the well-received title made by Incognito Entertainment. A recent post by the president of the now titled LightBox Interactive seems to further confirm that a sequel is in the works.

Only days ago, during an interview with Joystiq, Shuhei Yoshida confirmed that the Warhawk team has been “working on something new for a while”. While he wasn’t able to confirm the name of the title or what genre it would fall under, Dylan Jobe, President of LightBox Interactive, found the question interesting. Jobe posted the following on his Twitter account:

Saw this video and found it *very* interesting… Especially the last question 😉 http://tinyurl.com/35u9nsa

Dylan Jobe was the director behind Warhawk and a key element behind its success. While the name of the title might not end up being Starhawk when it’s announced, there is definitely something out of media radar that will warrant attention when it’s announced. The question is, when will the title be announced? Maybe during the European GamesCom convention in August? Or perhaps during the Japanese Tokyo Game Show in September?

What would you like to see from the team over at LightBox Interactive? Something new or an even more robust version of Warhawk? Post your response in the comments below:
